• ALLT OCH EVA (2024) Sweden

Eva doesn’t believe in love. She goes to Copenhagen to get sperm from a donor. She can’t help but wonder whether she made the right choice of donor. She decides to seek him out with a hidden agenda. He turns out to be kind and above all - not a psychopath. Eva returns home to Stockholm satisfied, now with an embryo in her uterus. But the donor, Mads, can’t stop thinking about Eva and has completely different plans – without knowing her secret.

The score consists almost solely of a capella voices - portraying Eva’s inner neuroses and moods - along with some instrumental elements of jazz. In addition a few original songs were written in collaboration with various artist for the soundtrack.

• KARMA & JONAR (2022) Sweden

Glimeria is a beautiful and magical land where evil is on the rise. Our heroes, Karma and Jonar, comes from two rivaling families. Together, Karma and Jonar, must overcome their families’ feud to save Glimeria from the evil stone dragon.

Karma & Jonar is an 8 episode animated series based on the book series with the same name by author Zelda Falköga.

• AMINA (2022) Sweden

Amina, a young and talented mixed martial arts fighter, struggles to raise her seven year old daughter. When she gets a shot at the world MMA championships, she is forced to make the toughest choice of her life.

The script was written by Mona Masri.

The score for Amina is synth driven, minimalistic with elements of drums and pulses accompanying the on-screen fights.

• PLEASURE (2021) Sweden, Netherlands, France, U.S

Bella Cherry arrives in Los Angeles with dreams of becoming an adult film star, but she soon learns that fame won't come easy as she harnesses her ambition and cunning to rise to the top of this mesmerizing and singular world.

In her feature debut Ninja Thyberg sets out to explore and break down the patriarchal structures in society by ingeniously turning the camera lens and showing us the adult industry with the female gaze.

The score is a mixture of sacred opera and hip-hop beats which Karl did in close collaboration with opera soprano Caroline Gentele and rap artist Mapei.

• MÄKLARNA (2021) Sweden

Mäklarna season 2-3 is a continuation of the beloved comedy series Mäklarna from 2006 starring Kjell Bergqvist and Cecilia Frode reprising their roles fifteen years later.

In the comedy series Mäklarna we follow real-estate agent Kaj Modin (Kjell Bergqvist) in his pursuit to finally cash in! Kaj, along with trainee Kevin (William Spetz) and the new Ceo of the firm, Vilma (Cecilia Frode), is a disaster waiting to happen.

• SOMMAREN 85 (2020) Sweden

Welcome back to the 1980’s and the small community of Braxinge. A time when tanning beds were harmless, the music was cool and the hairstyles bushy. We meet Barbro who is struggling to put her Braxinge on the map with The Big Sausage Party, her daughter Åsa who is struggling to keep her promise, without mother Barbro’s help, to her 15-year-old daughter Lena. What weaves them together besides the blood in their veins is the longing for something else.

• QUICK (2019) Sweden

This is the nerv wrecking story about two journalists who sacrifices everything in the search for truth, a judicial system in decay and a liar that finally stops lying. Quick is a compelling journalistic thriller based on the captivating and true story about one of Sweden’s biggest judicial scandals.

This is the first Swedish film in fifteen years by academy award nominee Mikael Håfström. Produced by Helena Danielsson for Brain Academy.

Quick premiered in Nordic theatres September 20th.

• WILD NIGHTS WITH EMILY (2018) USA


In the mid-19th century, Emily Dickinson is writing prolifically, baking gingerbread, and enjoying a passionate, lifelong romantic relationship with another woman, her friend and sister-in-law Susan...yes this is the iconic American poet, popularly thought to have been a recluse. Beloved comic Molly Shannon leads in this humorous yet bold reappraisal of Dickinson, informed by her private letters. While seeking publication of some of the 1,775 poems written during her lifetime, Emily (Shannon) finds herself facing a troupe of male literary gatekeepers too confused by her genius to take her work seriously. • HUMAN AFFAIRS (2018) USA

HUMAN AFFAIRS is a compassionate drama about a young, successful theatre couple in New York City who meet their surrogate mother for the first time, and embark on a startling and intimate weekend of surprises and emotional revelations. 

Genevieve (Julie Sokolowski), a young surrogate mother, shares a powerful moment with theatre actress Lucinda (Kerry Condon), the woman she is having a child for, and an unexpected physical attraction develops between Genevieve and Lucinda’s husband, Sidney (Dominic Fumusa).

Featuring powerful performances from Kerry Condon (Better Call Saul, Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri) and Dominic Fumusa (13 Hours, Focus) and a standout portrayal by young French actress Julie Sokolowski (star of Bruno Dumont's Hadewijch) as Genevieve, the film also features David Harbour (Stranger Things). Written & directed by Charlie Birns.

Human Affairs had it's world premiere at the 2018 Slamdance Film Festival.

• CITIZEN SCHEIN (2017) Sweden

The incredible story about the Jewish refugee, Harry Schein, who became a wealthy intellectual playboy and revolutionized Swedish film. Harry Schein is undoubtedly one of Swedish film history's most important and most luminous people. He was a careerist who became a millionaire at a water treatment facility, a sun-tanned dandy who married a film star, the continuous tennis partner of Olof Palme at the Royal Tennis Hall, the political visionary and rich social democrat who fought with the '68 generation, and the creator of the Swedish Film Institute. In Citizen Schein we get to know the icon Schein and the man Harry.

For their score for Citizen Schein, Karl & Pär was nominated for best original music for the Swedish Film Academy's Award Guldbaggen in 2018. The soundtrack is available on Apple Music and Spotify! 

• UPP I DET BLÅ (2016) Sweden

"There are no cops in space. No rules. And parents don't need to work all the time. At least not when it's your birthday."
Pottan is going to a riding camp, but ends up at a recycling center where she is taken care of by the strange staff. One day Pottan finds out that the staff are building a space rocket. Upp i det blå (UP IN THE SKY) premiered on Swedish cinema on the 21st of october 2016, and and had its international premiere at the Berlin Film Festival 2017.
 

The film is produced by Lars Jönsson (Memfis) and distributed by Nordisk Film.

• ESTER BLENDA (2016) Sweden

Ester Blenda is a documentary by Swedish filmmaker Anna Hylander. It was produced by Frid & Frid (commissioned by SVT K Special) with support from The Swedish Film Institute and Filmpool Nord. The film features Rakel Wärmlander, Tova Magnusson, Sara Sommerfeld, Peter Viitanen, Ivan Mathias Petersson and Agneta Ahlin.

• ALENA (2015) Sweden

Alena, a horror movie based on the award-winning graphic novel by Kim W. Andersson, is directed by one of our favorite directors, Daniel Di Grado, and produced by Alexander Rönnberg at Silvio Entertainment. It premiered internationally at the Sitges Film Festival in 2015, and in Swedish cinemas in 2016.

• HOMO SACER (2015) Sweden

Captured on video, published on the internet and found dead. A digital phantom's tragedy is deconstructed in this tricky and complex film about our modern prejudiced view of a fictional, opinionated media climate. The film investigates the collective social media mind and the authoritative storytelling structures that make you believe in everything you see.

Homo Sacer premiered at CPH:DOX in 2015 and was nominated for Best New Nordic Voice at Nordisk Panorama 2016.

• CONCRETE NIGHT (2013) Finland

We created the music universe for Pirjo Honkasalo's feature film Concrete Night (Betoniyö). It was in competition at the Gothenburg International Film Festival in the section dragon award - best nordic film. The film also won 6 jussi awards and ASC Spotlight Award for best photo. The film had it's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Masters Series in 2013. Articles: Hollywood Reporter & Indie Wire

Frid & Frid has composed and produced all the music for six swedish feature film based on Maria Lang's crime novels from the 1950's. Crimes of passion is starring Ola Rapace, Tuva Novotny and Linus Wahlgren. The films are produced by Pampas Produktion. Crimes of Passion has been sold to and broadcasted in most parts of Europe, United Kingdom, USA and the Scandinavian as well as Asia/Pacific. The films are directed by Daniel di Grado, Molly Hartleb, Christian Eklöw, Christeropher Panow, Peter Schilt and Birger Larsen.
