QUICK
Frid & Frid’s latest full length-movie score was commissioned by Brain Academy. The result is a fusion of a classic thriller score with a ”larger than life” feel.
QUICK, directed by Mikael Håfström and produced by Helena Danielsson, is the true story about convicted serial-killer Thomas Quick/Sture Bergwall, his relationship with the investigative journalist Hannes Råstam and what turned out to be Sweden’s biggest legal scandal to date. The screenplay by Erlend Loe is based on Råstams book about Quick. The lead roles are played by a critically acclaimed cast of Jonas Karlsson (Råstam), David Dencik (Quick/Bergwall) and Alba August (researcher Jenny Küttim).
The score is composed by Frid & Frid and partially recorded in Budapest with a full symphony orchestra and choir. The score features Daniel Migdal on solo violin. Also on the soundtrack is a new rendition of Björn Afzelius’ song Ljuset by Guran, Nyberg & Nord. (Råstam had an earlier career as a musician, often playing with Afzelius.)
The Original Soundtrack is available on Spotify and other outlets.
